C.P. Mandara Unleashes a Sexy, Controlling Vampire in GOOD AS DEAD

Posted by Teresa Noelle Roberts. 1 Comment

Athlete man with a lot of internal force

Good As Dead

Blurb:

Six people want her dead.

Lainey Hargreaves has a secret that she must keep at all costs. It’s a secret that could change the face of the earth, forever. But not all secrets can be kept, and when hers begins to escape, she is certain that death will follow.

There is only one person that can extricate her from the mess she finds herself in. A vampire.

Mercer is that vampire. His quick, analytical brain will give them a head start against her assassins, but even he isn’t confident of success. He needs to discover what Lainey is hiding, unravel her secrets, and earn her trust. She will need to learn to obey his every order without question if they are to stand a chance of success.

And the best place to start? In the bedroom, of course. All women find him irresistible. All women except Lainey, that is, and she’s going to fight tooth and nail to deny the bright red spark that blooms between them.

She’s going to lose.

“You will do as you’re told.”

He yanked on the curl he had captured and she had no choice but to stare at his mesmerising gold eyes. Swallowing at the invisible lump in her throat, she tried to force her head away from his dangerous gaze but could not break his hold over her. She wanted to roar in exasperation, for this mess could rival the Minos Labyrinth. She felt helpless and frustrated. They were two emotions she had very little experience with and she preferred it that way.

“Or what?” Lainey tried to bite back the retort but it was too late, the damage was done. When the vamp looked down at her, his eyes were rapidly darkening and his face was contorting with anger. She swallowed hard knowing she’d pushed him too far. Instinctively trying to back up, the wall was unforgiving and she smacked her head against it. His head was coming towards hers yet there was not a thing she could do about it. Wanting to scream, all that came out of her mouth was a pathetic little squeak.

He didn’t stop until his forehead rested against hers, his breath blowing heated little flutters against her lip. Her pulse immediately rocketed into orbit and her senses fled. She was only aware of his tempting soft lips, and a great urge to kiss them. For a second, she had a strangled moment of indecision, unsure whether she was willing her body to remain still or urging it to close those last few millimetres separating her mouth from his. Still stranded in torment, he smiled at her as if he knew the inner struggle she was having, and finally made the decision for her.

Pulling back abruptly, he put some distance between them by slamming both of his outstretched arms on either side of her head. It made her jump. Eyes which had licks of red and orange flames resting in their depths connected once again with hers, and although he was a little further away this time, it didn’t make him seem any less intimidating.

“A nice punishing kiss would probably keep you in line for a couple of days, I think. Should I bruise those soft sweet lips of yours and train them to worship mine? I have a feeling though that once I get a taste for you there’ll be no going back. Then again, seeing a lovesick doe-eyed look in those eyes wouldn’t be so bad. What do you say?” He unleashed the full power of his smile upon her and whilst there was no warmth behind it, Lainey got the message.

“No,” she whispered, immediately understanding what he had threatened. “I’ll do whatever you say, no questions asked.” She could not be bitten under any circumstances.

He huffed out a breath, and slowly removed his hands from the wall. Lainey sighed with relief as she had a little breathing space back but something akin to disappointment washed through her veins, and it horrified her. She could not feel this way, especially anywhere near a vampire.

“Well, I guess that spoiled all my fun for the evening,” he said regretfully. “But it should make the next couple of days rather interesting because at the first sign of disobedience, I’m claiming my kiss, Miss Hargreaves. Are we clear?” He raised an eyebrow and gave her a lopsided grin.

Lainey shuddered. “Crystal.”

“Good.”

“Who are you?” There was a hint of fear in her voice.

“My name is Mercer.”

“Mercer who?” Lainey pushed her hands against his chest and he backed up a little bit, allowing her a chance to examine him.

“That’s all you need to know.”

Interview with Dare from Made For Her by Jessica E. Subject

Posted by Teresa Noelle Roberts. 1 Comment

Please welcome Jessica E. Subject to the blog. She’s here to tell her about her “new and improved” re-release of Made For Her and interview the hero.

JES-Made-For-Her-432x648

After terrorists murder the love of her life, Colonel Mikayla Jones trains squadron after squadron of the clones he brought to life, to take to the skies. When she discovers a young clone of her husband in her newest class, her world spins out of control. How can she command the look-a-like when she can’t help but yearn for him to fill an ache in her heart?

Dare was created to be the best. As the first Daniel clone to leave Onatria labs, he needs to prove he is more than just a DNA copy. To do that, he must rely on the wife of the man who donated his genes. But when she refuses to train him, Dare faces discharge and returning to the labs. Can he convince Colonel Jones to finish his training and find a way into her bed? Or will long kept secrets unhinge the entire clone project?

Please note: Made For Her was previously published with another publisher. It has been revised and expanded from the original version. This version also includes the short story “Replicated Consequences”, which takes place in the same world.

CHARACTER INTERVIEW

Here is an interview with D32, or Dare, the hero from Made For Her. This takes place right after the woman supposed to train him refuses because he is made from the DNA of her late husband.

Jessica: Hello, Dare. Thank you for speaking with us today.

Dare: Thank you for having me. It’s nice to know that someone wants to hear my grievances.

Jessica: Now, from what I understand, you were supposed to be trained by Colonel Jones, but she refuses. Do you know why?

Dare: No. Though I wish I did. I think it’s because I look like Daniel. All I know is that she up and left the first time she saw me. And now that she’s back from Onatria labs were I was created, she refuses to train me. She has a new squadron of clones.

Jessica: How do you feel about this?

Dare: I’m pissed. I was supposed to be trained by the best flight instructor, and she’s it. Now, the squadron has a dickhead instructor, who feels the need to constantly remind us that we came from a petri dish.

Jessica: What are you going to do?

Dare: I don’t know. Keep trying to convince Madison and her that I need her to train me? I tried to talk to her when she returned from Onatria, but she wouldn’t listen. And she cried. Can you believe it? A commanding officer actually cried? After basic training, I didn’t think they could.

Jessica: How did that make you feel?

Dare: I wanted to hold her. Comfort her. Shit, I wanted to love her.

Jessica: And yet, you had to step away.

Dare: Yes. Clones are not allowed to have romantic relationships with anyone. I’m sure they’d prevent us from having sex, if they could. Plus, she’s a senior officer. She’d likely lose her job in the military.

Jessica: One more question. Do you have feelings for her?

Dare: Yes, how could I not? She’s a very attractive woman. Plus, I think the need to protect and love her is ingrained in my DNA. I can’t stop thinking about her.

Jessica: Sounds like a problem. I hope one day you two are able to work together. Thank you for joining us!

#mysexysaturday A Sexy Paranormal Love featuring Lions’ Pride

Posted by Teresa Noelle Roberts. No Comments

My Sexy Saturday logo

Click here to get links to all the great authors participating in My Sexy Saturday.

Once again, I’m participating in My Sexy Saturday. To quote the My Sexy Saturday site, “This week’s theme is A Sexy Paranormal Love and this is all about those pesky shapeshifters, vampires, demon hunters, angels or any other paranormal event or creature that graces the pages of our romances. Show us your most romantic or frustration relationships all with a flair for the paranormal.”

My most recent release is a kinky contemporary, but I’ve written a paranormal series, Duals and Donovans: The Different. This series arc is complete, but I plan to write a second series that involves the Donovan witches and their interactions with a powerful wolf dual (shapeshifter) pack. Mostly I’m liking that idea because the Donovans produce very alpha old ladies, as Irish American clans tend to do, and I foresee lots of fun spats between them and the older alpha male wolves while the younger people  enjoy romantic and erotic sparks. (Maybe the mature characters can go from spats to sparks too. Older heroes and heroines deserve fun too.)

Lions' Pride CORRECT

Without further ado, here’s a fun snippet from the first Duals and Donovans, Lions’ Pride, for My Sexy Saturday. For context, witch Elissa’s lion dual husband Jude has been kidnapped. To help rescue him, she calls upon Rafe, a cougar dual cop who’s been towing the party line and suppressing his paranormal side with drugs. (To be clear, that’s cougar as in mountain lion, for those who just read Drive, which features the other kind of cougar!) But when she starts using her magic around him, things get interesting–as in sexy.

“Do you feel that?” Rafe’s whisper was awestruck, almost frightened. “Where you’re touching me, I’m waking up. Like you’re siphoning off the Drozz and bringing me back to life. Something’s dancing inside me, Elissa, and you’re doing it.”

Dancing? Without magic, he shouldn’t feel the dancing.

“Impossible,” she said, although her palms were heated and tingling as though she was working magic on him. As though she was negating the drug.

That was all she said, because he kissed her.

Her mind screamed that this was the wrong man, that the right man was out there in danger and she was kissing someone else, someone she wasn’t even sure she could trust.

Her body didn’t care.

His lips caressed hers gently until her mouth opened against her conscious will. Then he groaned into her and pulled her closer and began to ravage her as if she were prey for his long-neglected cougarside.

* * *

More on Lions’ Pride:

Elissa Donovan is a real green witch—when she and her lion-shapeshifter husband have sex, the blazing heat is recycled to warm their house. Now her beloved Jude has been kidnapped by a shadowy government agency, and the last place she can turn for help is her high-powered family, who considers her magic mediocre.

When Rafe Benedict gets Elissa’s call for muscle to back up her magic, he risks his law enforcement career to answer. He’s spent a lifetime hiding his Dual ability, but something about Elissa and Jude’s magic awakens the cougar within him.

Tempting, bronzed Rafe is the perfect fuse for Elissa’s sex-fueled magic. Danger lies in breaking her vows; joining with anyone other than her true mate could not only send her marriage up in flames, it could burn out her powers in a last, all-or-nothing explosion. But Jude is worth the risk. And for Rafe, potential heartbreak is nothing next to the chance to help the two people he’s coming to love.

First, though, Rafe needs a crash course in Cougar

Product Warnings: This title contains evil fae, guys with guns, shadowy government conspiracies, a snarky ghost, and smoking-hot, three-way sex.

The Final Stop for the Best Lesbian Erotica Blog Tour and Giveaway

Posted by Teresa Noelle Roberts. 2 Comments

BLEOfTheYear_approved

My story in Best Lesbian Erotica 20th Anniversary Edition, “Tomato Bondage,” started out as a long-running joke between myself and my husband. We’re avid vegetable gardeners–well, I’m avid and he’s helpful because he enjoys eating the results–and we grow a lot of tomatoes, mostly the tall, sprawling heirloom varieties that won’t be kept in check in a mere tomato cage. No, these monsters require tall stakes, a trellising system and a lot of ties. The process of tying up the tomatoes, which has to be repeated over the summer as the plants grow, has inevitably become known as tomato bondage. We live in a suburban town with neighbors on all sides, and there’s a wetland across the street so the mosquitoes are fierce, so we don’t actually get our kink on in the vegetable garden…but we certainly joke about it..

KinkyGardenHose

Because we’re…well, you get the idea!

When I began to ponder ideas for Best Lesbian Erotica, I knew I wanted to write something kinky, because I enjoy writing BDSM-infused smut. I wanted something about an established couple. As a middle-aged married person, I like showing that long-term partners can still have blazingly hot sex. Besides, while new lovers getting kinky can provide great story scenarios, I feel obligated to include negotiations and talk of safewords and limits–and within the length confines of BLE, I’d prefer to use those words for characterization and/or erotic goodness.

Then, pursuing my interest in gardening and sustainable agriculture, not my interest in things erotic, I read several articles about women farmers. One focused on how, in developing countries, they’re often ignored by Westerners who want to help increase agricultural productivity and thus food supplies, but don’t understand the “farmers’ wives” do most of the hands-on farming in many cultures. Another talked about how many of the small new farms springing up in the US are partly or solely women-run.
Hmm, a lesbian couple who were farmers had story possibilities.

All the elements started playing together in my brain. Then something made me think about our joke about tomato bondage…and a story was born.

Excerpt:

“Well, that’s it!” Julia exclaimed proudly. “Two hundred tomato plants in bondage.”

“More than that. I counted 208. And we’ll have to do it again as they grow.”

“But at least we can do that round a little at a time.”

I took off my hideous, but useful gardening hat and let the breeze ruffle my short, sweat-damp hair. “Damn heirloom tomatoes anyway.”

I smiled as I said it. Julia and I both loved the flavor of heirloom tomatoes, and so did our customers at the farmers’ market and the local restaurants who bought from us. But these delicious older varieties grew on huge plants that needed to be supported by stakes or trellises, too big to fit into those wire tomato cages found at any hardware store during planting season. We’d rigged up a trellis system out of the scraps and oddments that farmers tended to save—some had come with the place, stashed away by the old couple who’d run dairy cows here until the market gave out. We’d planted the tomatoes on Memorial Day weekend. Today, they were finally big enough to tie to the trellis, using a combination of string and strips of worn cotton sheets. The farm had come with a supply of those too, forgotten in a linen closet.

The sun had moved closer to the western horizon but still beat down hot on this late June afternoon. Both my arms and Julia’s sported a yellow-green coat of what I thought of tomato dust—I’d never learned the technical term for the powdery substance that stained you after wrestling with tomato plants. Julia’s forehead was streaked with chartreuse and dirt-brown where she’d brushed away sweat.

She looked amazing. Dirty, but amazing. Defined muscles, built by our shared hard work, in her arms—and, as I knew, her back, abs and thighs as well. The sun caught the reddish lights in her long, dark brown hair. The colors on her skin looked like part of some primal ritual and she could have been the high priestess. No, the goddess.

If I’d look half as good as Julia did covered with tomato dust and glazed with sweat, I’d start painting myself with yellow and brown streaks and spraying myself with salt water before we went out for a night of dancing. Not that we hit the bars of Northampton much between May and September. Occupational hazard of being farmers: our growing-season social life was pretty much nonexistent.

On the other hand, there was lot to be said for the summer months being the Julia and Maggie show. Privacy, work we loved, collaborating with no one but the weather and each other to make our schedules, and did I mention privacy on our isolated homestead?

Privacy, for instance, to slip behind Julia and wrap one of the sheet strips around her wrist. She gasped in surprise, but didn’t resist. Not Julia. Instead, she moved her other hand so I could bind her wrists together.

Ben has always known Jon is far more than property, and he jumps at the chance to get the android his certificate of humanity. Paisley—whose abilities far exceed her job title—is a welcome distraction from the bureaucracy.

Their attraction sparks unexpected new conduits among them, but when they realize Jon’s certificate comes with a terrible price, they must risk everything to foil an Anti-Mech plot—and hope they survive to lose themselves in each other’s arms.

Product Warnings:

Overheating is likely. The mechanics in these pages require ample lubrication to perform at optimum levels. When possible, multiple system operators are recommended.

EXCERPT:

“Little early to be drinking, isn’t it, Paisley?”

As if her day couldn’t get any better, Robohippie hopped up on to the stool next to her. It took a good thirty seconds of scream cussing inside her head before she responded.

“It’s only too early if I’m drinking alone.” She put another twenty on the bar. “Give us two of something this will cover and still gives you a good tip, ’kay?”

The bartender put down the pen and notepad he’d picked up and nodded.

Two mixed drinks were put in front of her and Robohippie. She was pretty sure she’d gotten more than a cheap drink out of sharing stories with the bartender.

He cleared her empty glass and leaned over to smile his million-dollar grin at hippie boy.

“What’s your name?”

“I don’t wish to be a part of whatever you were writing down on that paper.” He sipped the drink. “And I’m not a…what was it you wrote? A lumberjack porno waiting to happen?”

The guy looked over at his notepad halfway across the room. “How did you see that?”

Robohippie pointed to the rounded mirror that the bartender used to keep an eye on the front while getting product from around the corner.

Paisley didn’t get a chance to see the bartender run and hide his notebook from the super-sighted humanoid. She was trying to evaluate the beard and the suspenders. “The lumberjack I can almost see… It’s the porno I’m having trouble with.”

“If you’re asking for a demonstration, I don’t do that anymore.”

Paisley caught his jaw flex and the creak that told her he was grinding his teeth.

“I wasn’t implying you were a prostitute, man. Relax. Drink your free drink.” She thought for a second and grabbed his glass. “You know what…never mind. You’re being a dick. I’ll drink it.”

He held his hand over hers, and Paisley felt the same electricity she’d felt when she’d grabbed his suspenders. “You’ve had enough, and I deserve to get a little lost today too. Back off, chick.”

At least she knew he could get a buzz with her. Coral could swallow alcohol if she had to, but it was a waste of perfectly good booze because Coral couldn’t get drunk.

“You don’t get to call me chick unless you share your pecker.” Paisley laughed, because she was pretty buzzed, and she thought that pun was hilarious.

Instead of laughing or being offended, he just stared.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

“I’m evaluating the situation.”

She huffed and he did some strange inhalation making his jaw click.

“That doesn’t answer my question.” She drank more.

“I’m trying to decide whether or not to discuss personal data with you.” He knocked back the glass, and swallowed his drink in one gulp, ice and all.

“You wouldn’t even tell me your name.” She sipped hers. It was only noon. “I doubt we are on a personal info level.”

“You were naked and climbing on top of me last night.”

Paisley looked and sure enough, the bartender was visible in that big curved mirror, listening to everything they said.

“This is going to end up as a sex scene in the bartender’s book,” Paisley said.

“Did you wish it to remain fiction?”

“Robohippie, you are making my head spin.” Paisley thought about the words she just said out loud. “Not that making my head spin is all that difficult right now, but still.”

“Please, you’re only at point oh five. I tested your breath. You’re not drunk. And did you just call me Robohippie?” he asked.

 He tested her what?

Paisley tried to scoot away. “I didn’t mean to say that part out loud. That’s what I call you in my head. But since you won’t tell me your real name, it’s mostly your fault.”

His lips stretched in a smile and Paisley found she couldn’t stop staring at them for some reason.

“What did you call Ben?”

“Who’s Ben?”

“He’s my roommate, remember? The guy that helped you climb off me when you were naked and oiled up.”

“You keep bringing up the naked part.”

“It was the highlight of my day.”

#scintillatingsunday Another yummy taste of DRIVE

Posted by Teresa Noelle Roberts. No Comments

Clickable logo for Scintillating Sunday blog hop

Welcome to the weekly Scintillating Sunday Showcase, The Mile High Muses’ permanent blog hop where eight paragraphs, sentences, or words from your romance or erotica novel will elevate reader’s sensual expectations and take romance to soaring heights. This week, of course, I’m offering a taste of my new release, Drive. Make sure to check out all the other participants’ links at the bottom of the page!

At first it was awkward. It had been so long since she’d kissed anyone other than Frank, who had his own style. Not a bad style, sweet and comfortable like the old married folks they were—except that pleasant but tame kisses started when they were way too young to settle for that. At least his kisses still felt affectionate, in his detached, distant way, even after he started with the late nights, the unexplained absences, and the second, password-protected phone she was pretty sure she wasn’t supposed to have found.

But she had to reach back into the mists of the early 1990s to remember this kind of kiss, the kind full of passion and possibility and curiosity. The kind that asked all kinds of questions, starting with “Do you think I’m hot?” heading to “Do you want to…?” and then taking a left turn to questions about love, sex and the meaning of life that were impossible to put into words.

She didn’t have answers to those questions. Didn’t even know, anymore, how to ask herself anything that deep and searching.

And maybe it didn’t make sense that she thought she might find the right questions, if not the answers, in the arms of this sexy, much younger cop.

But Neil’s lips reminded her she was truly alive, not just going through the motions of living. His lips and his tongue, the tickle of his rebel scruff, so charmingly at odds with his short, neat cop hair. And oh, those muscled arms around her, pulling her close, making her feel small and soft, but at the same time powerful, desirable. And not powerful because she was desirable. She was both.

Her body filled with almost forgotten hunger. Oh, she remembered desire, felt it often, but for the last few years, even while Frank was alive and well and occasionally having sex with her, desire had grown from fantasies rather than reality. A handsome actor looking buff and commanding on a movie screen, a sexy passage in a book—her Kindle was full of BDSM romances and erotica, some good, some schlocky, but all featuring scenes that set her imagination and libido soaring—a stray thought that sent her mind to dark, delicious places where hard hands and strong bodies and the occasional whip, paddle or toy worked their magic on her.

This wasn’t fantasy desire. This was specific. All about the taste of Neil Callahan’s lips, the way his tongue invaded her mouth…no, not invaded, because invaders weren’t invited in and welcomed with ticker-tape parades, and if her mouth could, it would be throwing a parade right about now. All about the way he smelled like gingerbread in the salt air with its hint of suntan lotion. The way one big hand cradled the back of her head, controlling and tender at the same time. The way his broad chest and back felt as she scrambled to touch as much of him as she could, and if she was making a spectacle of herself, well, it was about time.

She hadn’t thought about it when Frank was still alive, but she’d always been in his shadow, the brilliant man’s pretty wife who stayed in the background. Or was kept there. He was never mean about it, but his work was his life, and his cars were his escape from work, and she didn’t have a role, other than “supportive cheerleader,” in either area. She’d given him the occasional verbal slap down when his confidence veered into arrogance or when he walked over her without even noticing he was doing it, but she let him do his thing because both Mayhew Robotics and the cars mattered so much to him.  Now it was time for her.

Valentine’s Rewind: A Witches’ Waves Wedding

Posted by Teresa Noelle Roberts. 16 Comments

Valetines-Rewind-Banner

I have a new release this week, but for the Valentine’s Rewind Blog Hop, I’m firing up the wayback machine to bring you an expanded and revised deleted epilogue from one of my favorite books, Witches’ Waves.  The only thing more romantic than Valentine’s Day is a wedding, after all!  I loved the wedding scene and I’m excited to share it with you all at last, along with some sexy shenanigans that are brand-new for the Valentine’s Rewind.

For those who haven’t read Witches’ Waves yet, a few important notes on the characters:

Meaghan, a water witch and seer, is blind due to a rare neurological disorder. (I based her condition on a real-life friend who doesn’t let it stop him from climbing mountains, running marathons and being the driving force behind a nonprofit. If he can do all that with no magic other than will, intelligence and a great guide dog, a blind witch can certainly help save the world.)

Deck, aka Declan, is a water witch from the powerful Donovan clan. His magic is a bit more complex than that just being a water witch, but you’ll have to read the book for all those details.

Kyle is an otter dual, a shapeshifter. Duals have been persecuted by the government for several decades but thanks to events in this book, that’s starting to change.

Witches' Waves book cover

Before the wedding, they took a quick trip to Hawaii so Deck and Kyle could catch some famous big waves. The guys had told her about the big-wave surfing, how risky it was and how wondrous, and with her awareness of the ocean, she understood both aspects. Able to feel the enormous, angry force of the waves, Meaghan was terrified the whole time she’d waited on the beach, for them and even more for the other surfers, the ones who lacked Deck’s magic or Kyle’s otter form. She extended her awareness to the point of exhaustion, watching for trouble, poised to intervene if someone needed help. But whether by luck or by the grace of her magic and Deck’s, no one got into serious difficulty on this day–just enough fear, she realized, to make it fun for surfers. Deck and Kyle came in safe, if battered, high on endorphins, Deck’s red magic flaring off him so she could sense it before they even touched.

She ran to embrace them, following the pull of magic and running into only a few anxious and excited partners of other surfers. Two pairs of strong arms closed around her. Salt water and red magic and Kyle’s amber energy and dual heat embraced her. Her own red magic and water magic rose to meet them. As first Deck, then Kyle, kissed her with salt-flavored lips, the crowd of surfers and spectators faded from her awareness. She couldn’t see them anyway, and as Deck and Kyle flooded her other senses, all she could think about was drawing the two men down onto the sand…

She reached out for the drawstring of Deck’s board shorts. “Easy there,” he whispered in her ear, laughing. “This isn’t Donovan’s Cove. Normies all around us, and they don’t cope so well with the whole public sex thing.”

“Oh. Right.” Between being raised as an experimental subject and spending her entire life as a free person in the company of witches and duals, she could easily forget the rules of ordinary society when she was distracted. And Deck and Kyle drenched in salt water and buzzing with endorphins and desire certainly counted as distracting. She slid her hand from the compromising position to Deck’s hip, a sexy spot that, she figured, wasn’t too shocking for normies.

Kyle kissed whispered in her other ear, “Besides, sand gets into the damnedest places. I have a better idea. It’s a full moon tonight and I know the perfect beach.

* * *

Late at night, they made their way to a secluded cove, a long ride from their hotel in a rented Jeep. Kyle had explained on the ride over that this particular spot was protected from the beautifully fierce waves that battered much of the nearby coast by an ancient lava flow that jutted into the water, causing waves to break well offshore. Meaghan still heard the waves roaring from the parking area, still sensed their energy, but they weren’t a threat, just something to add to the night.

One hand on Kyle’s shoulder, Meaghan made her way down a trail toward the beach. A narrow trail, she thought, from the way Deck followed close behind as if to grab her in case of trouble. Silly sighted people always forgot that she was probably having less trouble then they were. For them, it was dark, and darkness and unknown terrain were an uneasy combination. For her, life was all darkness and mostly unknown terrain.

Finally, they arrived on the beach, where the waves crashed more loudly, though still far away. Deck drew in a sharp breath, pulled her close. “The sand is so white it’s glowing in the moonlight, and the moon marks a trail on the water, leading from the cove out to sea. There are more stars overhead than I’ve ever seen before. The waves break over the lava wall, all silvery in the moonlight. I wish you could see for yourself.” Deck was whispering, although they were alone on the beach. His voice was heavy with awe. “I’m going to cast a circle and set up a keep-away spell just in case we’re not the only lovers who decided this was a good night for skinny-dipping and shenanigans, but I feel like we’re already protected.”

Meaghan extended her senses, felt the spirits of the place gathering around. “We are,” she assured him. “The water wants us to be here.”

Deck’s spell was short and to the point, and from the sound of fabric rustling, he was undressing as he cast it.

Kyle and Meaghan undressed each other. Not that either of them had much on–board shorts for Kyle, a loose sundress over bare skin for Meaghan. It was an excuse to touch, not that they really needed an excuse.

The three of them entered the water together. It was bath-warm, nothing like the cold water off Donovan’s Cove, and Meaghan sighed at the silky caress on her skin. None of them spoke. The moment seemed too charged to talk, too full of grace. Meaghan might not be able to see the scene as a sighted person did, but she could sense Deck’s and Kyle’s auras and the currents of magic in the water, the moonlight

When the water reached just below her breasts, Deck pulled her close, drawing her into a kiss. Her already sensitive nipples formed stiff peaks against his chest. At the same time, Kyle wrapped around her–around both of them, to the extent he could–from behind.

“Tonight’s about you,” Kyle whispered.  “I know it’s stressful watching someone you love ride big waves–even if you know we’re not exactly ordinary surfers. We want to make it up to you.”

“Might be even worse for you because you are so aware of the water’s force. You probably spent the whole day with your senses stretched and your witch-sight on, poised to do something just in case someone’s ride went badly.”

She nodded.

“So we want to thank you by spoiling you rotten.”

“I…” She wanted to protest, to say that hardly seemed fair, that she wanted to give them pleasure, make sure the guys enjoyed each other as well.

Until she focused on Deck’s body and on the red magic that poured off him, crashing onto her like the waves broke over the lava barrier. He was all kinds of turned on by the night, the beautiful setting and the idea of working with Kyle to overwhelm her with pleasure. They’d both enjoy the hell out of it.

“I like that idea,” she finally admitted.

At that word, four hands and two sets of lips set to work driving her crazy.

Caresses, nibbles, kisses. She kept losing track of everything they were doing, whose hands touched her breasts, her ass, her clit and sex. Most of the time, she could sense the dense fur behind the human form of Kyle’s body, enjoy the vibrations of Deck’s magic–but when the two of them were working together as well as they were tonight, the boundaries between them seemed to blur. She couldn’t decide if it was magic at work, the silver cords that bound the three of them together having a bit of fun with them, or simply her senses being overwhelmed by sensation. Even the water on her skin and the warm breeze added to her pleasure.

When Deck lifted her onto Kyle , she came in a burst of red magic. The orgasm drew out as Deck and Kyle together helped her bob in the deliciously warm water on Kyle’s cock. She might not be able to see the stars overhead, but she felt them all over her body as she came and came. When Kyle cried out and spurted into her, she thought wistfully that the fun might be over.

But before long, Kyle helped her shift into Deck’s arms. Deck’s hands cupped under her ass, and she sank onto his waiting cock as the water caressed them all.

“Love,” she managed to say before ecstasy robbed her of her wits. “Love you both.”

Afterward, while they curled together on a blanket on the sand, she had a gentle vision, without any pain: the three of them splashing around in the same cove with a sturdy, fair-haired little boy who called both men Daddy.

She tucked that particular memory under her heart and for only the second time in her life, hoped one of her visions came true.

The first already had already been fulfilled that night. Before she’d met Deck and Kyle, she’d had a vision of making love in warm water with two men.

* * *

All the blur of days led to August first, Lammas, when she leaned on Portia’s arm instead of using a cane as she walked down the beach to marry Deck and Kyle. Not the usual thing, she’d been led to understand, but Donovans did things their own way, and the magic insisted it had to be Portia, who shared her uncomfortable combination of powers.

She could see Portia’s aura where they touched, so like her own, the gray-blue of water power and the clear turquoise of the telepath reaching out to blend with her own ocean colors and the sky blue that marked a seer. “Take good care of my idiot cousin,” Portia whispered when they arrived. “Between you and Kyle he should be fine.” Then Portia let down her shields and brushed Meaghan’s cheek with her lips. It lasted only a second or two, but in that time, the two women shared all the pains and joys of a life lived without normal human boundaries. Shared the very different, but equally real, love they felt for Deck.

At the climax of the wedding ritual that wove her life and spirit with Deck’s and Kyle’s, something happened. The auras she always sensed as colorful streaks took form. One tall, broad man, blue eyes bright with unshed tears of joy, fair hair caught back in a ponytail. One slighter, dark-haired man, all cheekbones and sleek muscles. She knew the colors were off, not what sighted people would perceive, but still…

“I see you!” she exclaimed, interrupting Elissa and Paul, who were performing the ritual, with Jude as assistant to represent Trickster and the duals’ connection to the divine. Then she looked around in wonder. “I see everyone!”

“You can see?” She could perceive Kyle’s puzzled excitement, bright around his body. “You can see!”

She smiled. “Sort of. I don’t think Jude’s lion-shaped right now, or that the baby has wings and a tail. I know Elissa’s not much taller than I am, but she looks huge. Plus everyone’s floating a few feet above the beach and I know there are folding chairs.”

“But they’re metal,” Deck said slowly, “so you can’t see them with witch-sight.” He squinted. “You’re right. Jocelyn had wings for a minute, but they’ve faded. Wait, now she does again. Cool.” Then it seemed to sink in. “Cool, cool, cool!” He swept Meaghan into his arms. Kyle embraced both of them.

Aunt Jan ran up from her seat, a lovely rose-colored blur, and started asking questions Meaghan couldn’t possibly answer. Especially since while Jan halted the progress of the neurological disorder, Meaghan had explicitly asked the older witch not to try restoring her sight just yet, afraid that learning to use a new sense would be one thing too many when she was adjusting to a whole new life.

It was a long time before Elissa and Paul could finish the ceremony.

But that didn’t matter because Meaghan, Deck, and Kyle were already bound by cords of silver.

Cords that Meaghan could see clearly, leading to and from two gorgeous men she could also see clearly, if colorfully, outlined against an ocean that looked like a rainbow of life.

And if she never saw anything else except as an aura in her mind’s eye, seeing Deck and Kyle and the ocean was enough.

More on Witches’ Waves:

The ocean is on their side. But the fight is on land—and it’s about to get dirty.

Long held captive as the Agency’s secret weapon—a blind witch with visions—Meaghan has come to a line she refuses to cross. Rather than betray the infant “child of five bloods” to the Agency’s scientists, she chooses death. Except when she throws herself into the ocean, she doesn’t die. Her repressed water magic comes to life.

When the sodden, delirious witch drifts into Kyle’s arms, his otter dual instincts tell him to get her to the Donovans as fast as possible. Even though one particular surfer-dude Donovan broke his heart.

Declan Donovan continually kicks himself for pushing Kyle away, but his touchy combination of water, earth and lightning magic is too volatile, and Kyle wanted more than Deck was ready to give.

When they come together to help Meaghan control her new magic, it leads the Agency straight to the child of five bloods. They’ll have to dive head-first into total trust—in their magics, in themselves and in each other—to save the child and stop the Agency once and for all.

Warning: Contains an oceanful of sex between an ethereal blind heroine who swears like a pissed-off Marine, an overly serious otter shifter, a would-be beach bum who may be descended from a Norse god, in permutations as fluid as the sea – and themes of abuse and recover.

It's too cold for convertibles, so here's a sexy classic car that might be a bit warmer. Once she closes the window, that is. Photo (C) Bodnarchuk, courtesy of BigStock.com

Today’s DRIVE Excerpt (NSFW)

Posted by Teresa Noelle Roberts. No Comments

We’re enjoying a fine winter storm here in New England, so I thought I’d share a little something to heat up your winter day. Early reviews are saying things along the lines of “Wow, this story has it all!” (Harp’s Romance Book Reviews) and “Character-driven romance and well-developed sex scenes […] a book that is worth a look.” (All About Romance). And today, you can still get the pre0rder price. (Plus it’s on sale at Samhain, along with all other romance titles.)

“We’re going to have so much fun.” He smiled, shaking his head. “Open your legs.” When she obeyed, he ran two fingers over her lips, catching her moisture. “You’re so wet.” His fingers dove into her, just long enough to make her clench. “I can’t wait to lick that lovely pussy and play with that ring. Can’t wait to fuck you. But first, I’m going to do something I’ve been dreaming about ever since I saw you bent over the Mustang. Turn around so I can spank your beautiful ass. Assuming that’s something you want to try, of course.”

Heart pounding, breath caught in her throat, Suzanne obeyed, bracing herself against the counter.

She prepared herself for a resounding thwack, but as he’d done with her breasts, he started with a light caress, running his big hands over the skin until every bit of it tingled to life.

She pushed her ass back at him and moaned. He rewarded her with a hard spank.

Surprisingly hard. She’d been prepared, she thought, but it had been a long time. “Ouch!” she exclaimed, then added quickly as the heat spread from her affronted bottom throughout her body, “But not yellow. Just startled.”

He stroked the tender skin for a second then struck again. This time, she managed not to yell, though she did bounce in place on her toes and instinctively pull her hips forward.

She immediately pushed them back at Neil and the spanking continued.

It stung like the devil, but at the same time, the pain suffused her with heat and need. Her clit throbbed. Her pussy ached as it got even wetter. The ring in her labia felt like a great, teasing, delicious weight. At first she tried to count the blows, but soon her brain refused to deal with anything that mundane and lost itself in the cycle of sting and sensual fire. Her hips rocked back and forth. Her head swam. Neil was crooning something as he spanked her, but while the words sounded sweet and dirty, she couldn’t focus on them.

When he switched from his hand to a wooden spoon, she yelped, but more because she was startled than anything. That felt great too—a different, more concentrated sensation, less intimate than Neil’s hand, but exciting in the way it packed the sensation into one small area. “Is that good?” Neil asked.

“Yes,” she moaned, surprised by how husky her voice sounded, how much like a woman already having an orgasm rather than spiraling toward one. “Oh, yes. Wouldn’t mind harder.”

A flurry of sharp wood blows followed, light but stinging. She danced in place, flinching instinctively, yet delighting in the blows, in the way pain and pleasure blurred.

Without warning, Neil switched back to his hand, one solid, thuddy spank. The warmth of his hand seared into her beautifully abused skin and reached places inside her she hadn’t even known existed.

Her body convulsed. Her cunt contracted around nothing. Her knees started to buckle from the force of an unexpected orgasm. She caught herself on the counter, still wobbling. Then Neil wrapped his arms around her, pressed himself over her body.

As she started to calm down, he pressed harder, the roughness of his jeans emphasizing how tender her ass was. One hand snaked between her legs to tug gently on her piercing then circle her clit.

Suzanne detonated again, crying out his name.

Neil didn’t even bother to undress, just opened his fly and, after a few minutes of rummaging that seemed like hours, put on a condom.

She didn’t ask where the condom came from, didn’t especially care. She wished she’d gotten a good look at his cock, but right now what mattered was he was in her, long and thick and fierce. It felt like she’d been waiting for this all her life. One hand pressed on her upper back, pushing her onto the counter, the other gripped her hip almost savagely. He didn’t bother starting slow or building up gradually. Just pistoned into her and it was just what she needed at that moment. The slap of his hips against her sore ass, the slight abrasion of the zipper, reminded her over and over again of the spanking. She couldn’t move, just feel and react, and that was just fine with her.

The hand that had been holding her against the counter grabbed her ponytail, forcing her head back. She arched, clenching even more. “I want to feel you come on my cock.” Neil’s voice shivered on her skin, rough and beautiful. “Can you do that for me?”

Can you tell I’m getting excited about this release? Tuesday, my friends. Tuesday!

Suzanne’s knuckles were white as she made her way through the herd of mountain bikers, but she was already having fun.

By the time she’d been on the highway for half an hour, she had second thoughts about selling the Mustang. The power of the engine, the warm leather seats, the sheer fun of driving something so big and red and shiny, something that turned heads. She snapped another car selfie when they stopped for coffee and sent it to Janice with the text SELL OR KEEP?

Janice might just urge her to keep it, if only as a form of revenge through good living. And this car was definitely good living. No wonder Frank had loved it so much. Damn selfish of him not to share it with her.

Then again, he hadn’t shared much with her. Neil had already opened up more in the short drive than Frank typically would in a year. Not that Neil was a chatterbox, but she’d learned from his words that he’d inherited his grandparents’ two-family house in Dorchester, and that he and his father, a retired cop, restored cars and other vehicles together. The vintage motorcycle he’d arrived on was one of their projects.

And she knew from his eyes and the inflections of his voice that he loved his father, even though he’d told a few hilarious stories about them butting heads.

She knew he was dedicated to his work, knew he wasn’t a detective yet, but hoped to be one within the year.

From the way his big hand stroked the dashboard or the leather seat when he thought she wasn’t looking, she could tell that he lusted after the Mustang, but the smile that lit up his incredible blue eyes told her he enjoyed watching her getting acquainted with a car that was technically hers, but that she hadn’t enjoyed until now.

She wondered if Janice would playfully suggest keeping Neil or selling him. He’d been in the picture too.

Suzanne would keep him if that were an option. Alas, it probably wasn’t.

#MySexySaturday “A Sexy Encounter” from DRIVE

Posted by Teresa Noelle Roberts. 1 Comment

Drive72lg

The theme for this week’s My Sexy Saturday blog hop is “a sexy encounter.” Luckily Drive (out 2/9–that’s Tuesday, folks!) is full of them. Here’s a taste of the first time Neil and Suzanne start to get naked and kinky together.

mysexySat

His cock strained so hard against his fly that he swore he could count each tooth of the zipper as it pressed against him. He eased away from the kiss, but only far enough to slide his hands to the hem of her shirt. “I want you naked,” he said, and it sounded like a groan and a prayer wrapped together with hemp rope.

“I want to be naked. And I wanted you out of those clothes about five seconds after I met you.” She clamped her lips together as soon as she said it; as if she was astonished the words had come from her mouth. But her eyes sparkled, and she wriggled, helping Neil pull her shirt over her head.

Her bra was off-white, plain, not the kind of bra a woman wore on a hot date. He still thought it looked beautiful, or maybe more like she was beautiful and the bra, like her clothes, was irrelevant.

Her breasts would look better with his hands cupping them, not the bra.

Evidently she agreed, because Suzanne twisted her arms behind her back and the bra fell to the floor. “Normally I like to set the pace, undress you myself,” Neil said, “or tell you to do so. But I appreciate your enthusiasm. And the view.” Her breasts were neither model-perky nor model-huge. A little softness there, but like the subtle lines around her eyes, he liked that proof she wasn’t a girl, but a woman who knew what she wanted and had the experience to back up her choices. Her skin was fair, her stiff, deep rose nipples contrasting starkly. He could see the faded tan lines from the summer; although she had the body to rock a skimpy bikini, Suzanne was apparently a one-piece woman. He hoped it was because she was the type of person who didn’t want to worry about sand rash or one more place to protect a redhead’s sensitive skin, not the kind who was ashamed of a belly that had a slight curve to it, a hint of softness that he, personally, found sexy as hell. (Not that there was anything wrong with a more athletic build, either. Face it, he just liked women’s bodies.)

Neil moved behind her. The kitchen was narrow, the sort you found in older houses where they worried more about function than form, and she had to step closer to the counter to allow him to do it. He didn’t need to say anything. She seemed to read his body language, his need. Yeah, her experience with kink might be years ago, but she had the right instincts. She could anticipate his needs and wishes from his body language, and they barely knew each other.

Hot like a jalapeño.

He reached around, cupping her breasts to pull her close, her bare back pressed against his chest. Dammit. He liked the mental game of stripping her while he stayed dressed, setting up a power dichotomy for their games, but right now, he wished he’d given up the mindfuck for that bit of extra skin-on-skin contact.

A first taste of DRIVE–romantic suspense with a bit of kink (or is that kink with a bit of romantic suspense?)

Neil had done this dance before, something more than a dozen times, less than a thousand. Done the dance of pretending to be doing anything on earth other than paying attention to potential criminal activity.

The difference between those times and this one?

For one, the many times he’d done it as part of his job, he’d been armed, and there’d been backup, even if the backup hadn’t always been close enough to do much good if, as his dad said, the excrement really hit the air-conditioner.

The bigger difference between just about any surveillance-type situation in police work and this one was that at work he had an idea why the person was behaving suspiciously. Knew, in general, if he was dealing with a known drug dealer or a possible burglar, a potential pedophile or a suspected murderer. This time, he had no clue what was going on, no idea why or how the guy may have followed them all the way to the Cape, or whether he was stalking Suzanne or himself. Not exactly reassuring to know so little, especially not when someone else was involved.

Was she an innocent bystander in whatever the hell was going on or did she know something? What did he really know about Suzanne Mayhew anyway, other than she’d inherited (supposedly) a gorgeous Mustang and she kissed like someone possessed by a succubus? Not a hell of a lot.

Part of his mind was wandering in all directions, but most of it was observing. No one else appeared to be watching him or Suzanne with intense interest, though he got a couple of glances. Suzanne’s car was definitely drawing admiring looks, but then people moved on. It was hard to keep track of all the people milling around the lot, not to mention he was more interested in keeping an eye on Suzanne and on the people in the gray Lincoln anyway. He waved at Suzanne, smiling goofily like a doting boyfriend and was rewarded with her blowing him a kiss.

Suddenly he felt very much like a doting boyfriend.

Which wasn’t helping his concentration.

Drive72lg

He’s a kinky dream come true—and her only protection from danger.

Eight months after her (cheating, almost-ex) husband’s death, Suzanne Mayhew has a plan to move on with her life. First step: sell off Frank’s classic cars, starting with the red vintage Mustang convertible he never let her drive. Second step: get her unexplored kink on with a delicious younger man.

Preferably the one an old friend sends around, ostensibly to check out the Mustang. Neil Callahan—Boston cop, Dom, fifteen years her junior.

Neil feels the mutual sizzle, but if the blush staining her cheeks is any indication, her flirting skills are a little rusty. Though his instinct tells him to take things slow with the recent widow, he can’t resist inviting her along for a test drive—for the whole weekend.

Throwing caution to the wind, Suzanne takes him up on it. But they’re barely out of the driveway when Neil’s cop instincts kick in. They’ve got a tail…and it looks dangerously like her ex’s secrets looming large—and deadly—in their rear-view mirror.

Warning: Spies, lies and vile bad guys. A meddling BFF. Inappropriate use of kitchen tools. Completely appropriate use of rope and floggers. Your mileage may vary, depending on battery life.

Kripalu and musings on new beginnings

Posted by Teresa Noelle Roberts. No Comments

Not for the first time, I started out a year by paying a visit to Kripalu, a yoga retreat center in the beautiful Berkshires of western Massachusetts. Once again, I went with a friend who’s been part of my life since junior high school, refreshing ourselves with a much-needed time out. It was astonishing in some ways to curl up in our shared room like we used to curl up during sleepovers–only this time talking about retirement (not that I’m planning to “retire” from writing and her retirement is more than a decade away, but planning is on her mind), the love and struggle of life with aging parents, how romance changes to solid love over the course of a long marriage, how our bodies are changing post-menopause. Yet it felt so right. She’s known me longer than anyone I know today except my mother.

I went to Kripalu dealing with what I thought was the remnants of a nasty cold (Unfortunately it turned out to be the start of a secondary bacterial infection and resulting asthma flare-up. Yuck!) Instead of the intensely physical time I’d originally planned, with hiking and vigorous vinyasa yoga filling my days, I concentrated on more gentle yoga, breathwork and meditation.

DSCN4765

It was remarkably good for me.

One of the things I focused on was how to reinvigorate my writing, how to find the joy I used to feel when writing was my avocation, not my job. I have some ideas. You may see some different stories from me in the future along with the erotic romances you’ve come to expect. I’m writing poetry again. I’m remembering how to play and laugh as I create.

What will come of this on a professional level, I can’t say. But more joy is never a bad thing.

Valentine’s Rewind!

Posted by Teresa Noelle Roberts. 1 Comment

I’m brain-fried, so I’m blatantly copying most of this post from Tamsen Parker and Rebecca Grace Allen.

Valetines-Rewind-Banner

One romantic holiday. More than twenty fabulous authors. All your favorite stories.

It’s almost Valentine’s Day, and if there’s one thing we romance writers flock to, it’s anything involving love. (Well, that and chocolate, but that’s not just in February.) So what better way to get into the spirit of all things heart-shaped than to gather a bunch of us together, put pen to paper and revisit some of our favorite characters?

From February 8th through 12th , we’ll be sharing original pieces revisiting characters from old stories. Which characters? You won’t know until you read! It could be a deleted scene you never thought you’d get to see. A sex scene in a different character’s POV. A where-are-they-now vignette, or even secondary characters who never got their chance to bang…er, have a happily ever after.

(And boy, do I have some crazy ideas…Now I just have to figure out which to pursue.)

What else could possibly make this better? Free stuff! Some authors will have their own giveaways going, but we’ll also have one massive prize pack at the end of our frolic! One lucky winner will be the recipient of a boatload of awesomeness, including gift cards, signed paperbacks, ebooks, and other V-day swag.

What are the deets on your chance to win? All you’ve got to do is leave one little love note on each author’s post. On Valentine’s Day, we’ll pick one commenter at random to get the whole shabang. So make sure to check out the schedule below, and get ready for the 2016 Valentine’s Rewind Blog Hop!

Kate Richards brings us HER COWBOY

Posted by Teresa Noelle Roberts. 1 Comment

her cowboy cover

If you’re in the path of Winter Storm Jonas, you might want to download this book right away. A sexy spanking cowboy sounds like the perfect way to keep warm while the wind howls and the snow flies. And even if the forecast is for clear, pleasant weather, a little spicy reading is always fun.

Blurb

Felicity Franceaux’s new position as head of the Corbin’s Bend emergency room meets all her expectations. A professional staff, challenging cases, and a home in a town where spanking is not only accepted but appreciated. But losing her late husband left her so heartbroken, she’s afraid to try again. But if she did, the guy next door sure has her attention.

John Estrada, former ranch foreman now successful cowboy novelist also likes what Corbin’s Bend has to offer, but he’s having a hard time letting go of life on the range for life in the Bend.

He’d like to get to know the pretty neighbor lady who never gives him more than a casual wave.

If only they could find a way to connect.

Excerpt

So long since she’d been so close to a man. Two years. Pierre smelled like soap and his expensive cologne du jour. Different, but his aura of strength, of command of any situation was the same.

“Tell me about your book.”

Resting his chin on her head, John sighed. “I don’t tell anyone about my stories until they’re done. Bad luck.”

“But I looked—”

“For a moment. I would have shut the screen down if I’d expected company.”

“Something you don’t want me to see?” What else did he have there? “Lurid sex scene?” He wouldn’t, would he? Was he a stalker? Stiffening, she stayed put but didn’t give him any encouragement. She’d just met the man, and here she was alone in his house.

How many times had emergency room visits resulted from such bad judgment on the part of her patients? Nobody knew she’d visited him…and the arm he wrapped around her shoulder held lean muscle; he could overpower her without even trying.

“Sex…no. No sex scene in this story. At least not yet.” He gave her a squeeze. “I don’t know you well enough.”

Her? Did he mean if he, if they…. Heat flooding her cheeks—again—she knew she should make her excuses and leave. But why didn’t she want to? Something about the man’s presence evoked a safety, security. Like Pierre, but her late, beloved husband had been older than her by ne thirty years. Such an age difference held a different feel than….

Than what? A casual conversation with the next door neighbor after dinner? Obviously she was too hard up and needed a quick visit with Cowboy to regain her balance.

“Oh…okay, well….” Casting her gaze around, she spotted a clock hanging on the wall above the flat screen TV. “Look at the time. If you won’t let me help with the dishes, I should get going. You must have a lot of writing to do yet this evening.”

He rubbed her arm. “What’s the matter, darlin’? Afraid I might try to use you for more intimate inspiration?”

An amazing love story with grown, mature adults who know what they want from life. John and Felicity are perfect for each other and their chemistry was off the chain! I also adored the story in the story, very clever 🙂 Fantastic book!

I enjoyed reading my cowboy, I was given this for a free review. I downloaded it, started reading and never stopped until finished. A little short , but it be nice to have some more on their new adventure. It was sweet story of two broken hearts come together over home made stew and bisque and thunder and lighting. So if your a fan of Corbin Bend. Then you won’t be disappointed.

Her Cowboy is another enjoyable Corbin’s Bend book – about a young widowed emergency room doctor who never expected to find love again, and a retired cowboy turned author. They meet, they develop a quick interest in each other and learn of a common interest in spanking, like most residents of Corbin’s Bend. After a separation and some misunderstandings, they come together again and move quickly to HEA. It is a good story about nice people finding love; I only wish it had been a little longer and more developed, because I liked both characters.

As usual, this was another great addition to the Corbin’s Bend saga. Felicity seems like an overworked but lonely young doctor who is still grieving the loss of her husband. And John is a lonely cowboy trying to transition from a lifelong career of working on a ranch to a budding author in a small town. The two spend months peeping in each other’s windows and are finally thrown together. It is definitely desire at first sight if not love. John and Felicity seem to get off to a slow and rough start, but once they get started, nothing is slow. I truly enjoyed this new edition to one of my favorite neighborhoods.

LeTeisha Newton visits with ONE HOUR GIRL (NSFW, but do I really need to say that?)

Lost Series Banner

One Hour Girl, The Lost Series Book #1

Genre: Comtemporary Romance

From International Bestselling Author, LeTeisha Newton, February 29th, 2016!

Celeste Askew isn’t perfect. Not by far. Her childhood was dark and destructive, her family torn apart by greed and secrets.

So she learned to cope.

During her days she’s a paralegal in a prestigious firm. But by night, she’s an escort, addicted to dangerous situations, rough sex, and money. This is what she knows, what she craves, and what keeps her stable.

Ms. Perfection is kept happy because Ms. Whore keeps the darkness at bay.

Until she meets Royce Mattherson, L.A.’s most eligible bachelor, and billionaire. No that his life was much better. His past was just as dark, just as twisted, and they find that they can give each other those dirty moments. Love wasn’t supposed to be a part of it.

It never was.

Her heart is off limits, and he doesn’t have one to give. The found a way to break the rules anyway.

OHG Post Images_Synopsis

He thinks I’m his forever girl, I saw it in his eyes. I wished I could have slapped the look off his face and hit him with the same jarring finality I’d learned I didn’t mean shit.

I’m not a forever sort of girl.

I’m not even his for the night.

He’ll be lucky if I’m his for the next hour if he doesn’t pay me for it.

And then Royce Mattherson stormed my defenses. Took all the poison inside of me and pushed it out through my pores. He tasted the taint on my skin and still decided to love me. He terrifies me. Exhilarates me. Frustrates me.

And he always gets what he wants.

Always…

I watched Celeste’s eyes widen and she tried to shift from under me, coming out of the daze as she looked over at the hustling waiter. I gripped her hips, pinning her beneath me.

“You aren’t going anywhere,” I assured her. “You seemed to have ruined my dinner, and I’m famished.”

I licked my lips, feeling desire and pride swell within me as her gaze tracked my movement and a warm flush appeared under her skin. I pressed my hips between her legs, hissing at the heat of her pussy against my cloth covered cock.

“I think I’ve found something to eat…right…here,” I told her, letting go of her hip to push my hand between us and cup her sex.

She moaned, head tossed back. I waited long enough for the waiter to run behind the counter and away before I claimed her mouth again. This was my place, my money, my rules. No one would disturb us, and I wanted to see how wild she could get. I wanted to control her.

I rubbed my fingers against her in a circular motion as I devoured her mouth. She gripped at my jacket, pushing it off my shoulders. It couldn’t fall to the floor because I wouldn’t stop caressing her, but it was out of her way enough that she went for my shirt next. Buttons popped as she ripped my shirt open and ran her nails down my chest.

Ground zero.

My cock was hard and pulsing in my pants. I moved my hand from between us and ground against her. She cried out, rolling her hips against me. I liked that. I fucking loved how she gave into her passion. She didn’t fight it, she didn’t apologize for it. The way she responded to me made me feel like a god.

I sucked my way down the side of her neck, paying attention to any hitch of breath, and shift of her body. I noticed that her nails dug when I nipped over her pulse. She sucked in a breath when I traced her cleavage with my tongue. Her breath rushed out in a whoosh when I pulled the neck of her dress down far enough to suck her nipple into my mouth, bra and all.

I noted it all, and logged it to memory. She was mine. So what if it didn’t make sense? So what if I was fighting an uphill battle against a woman who didn’t believe in giving herself. We weren’t talking about love. We were talking about enjoying a spark with another person that we’d never feel again.

I could give her everything she needed, but the emotions. She just needed to learn that people like us? That’s all we needed. I let her nipple go long enough to pull her into my arms and force the dress up and over her head. I tossed the dress over my shoulder as I used my other hand to pop her bra. By the time she lay back on the table she only had her delicate black thong and heels on.

Beautiful.

Her breasts were slightly rosy with desire. It was such a pretty color against her bronze flesh. I captured her slightly darker nipple in my mouth, grinding my hips against her. Her fingers tunneled through my hair as she held me to her. Rolling her nipple with my tongue just to hear her cry out again, I traced the inside of her thighs.

“So pretty. How good will you taste?” I asked her. I kissed my way down over her stomach, stopping long enough to dip my tongue in her navel. Her body shook under my hands. Or maybe it was my hands. I didn’t know, and I didn’t care. The most important thing for me was to drink her down. To hear her scream my name.

I nuzzled her groin. It was bare, and the skin there was smooth. I nipped the sensitive flesh and then licked away the sting. Her skin was like spun honey, sticky and moist, and so fucking amazing. The crease on the inside of her thigh where it met her groin demanded attention and I followed the line down with my tongue.

I took a moment to sit back and grab my chair. I sat back down and looked at her pussy. My breath came out hard and raspy as I admired the tight lips and nub peeking out from its hood. Moisture leaked out of her, making her shine. All for me. I’d done that. Gripping the backs of her thighs, I pushed her legs up and out.

“Royce—” she started by I popped her ass to shut her up.

“You chose this, and it’s what I want. Has anyone, ever, just pleased you? Have you ever had someone who couldn’t think of their own pleasure because it was intrinsically combined with yours?”

She stared at me, so I popped her ass again.

“Answer me.”

“No,” she said finally. “Never.”

“You won’t be able to say that after tonight,” I promised her.

2015 Recap

Posted by Teresa Noelle Roberts. 1 Comment

2015 was the year that I had to admit my beloved mother is old and frail and…well, mortal. One knows parents are mortal, but one stays relatively sane and happy by not thinking about it, right? 2015 marked the point I could no longer pretend. At the same time, one of our beloved cats–Rumble, the largest, friendliest, most magnificent cat I’ve been privileged to love in a lifetime of living with them–fell ill with something our vet couldn’t diagnose and slowly declined. We lost him in the summer. I firmly believe that everything that dies will be reborn in some form, if only because matter and energy change forms but don’t vanish, but watching a slow, protracted dying when there’s not a damn thing you can do is depressing. Watching the cat was bad enough, but I was also watching my mother lose mobility and independence–she gave up driving this year, for instance. Talk about a recipe for morbid melancholy.

Add to that some health issues, the fun of menopause (which isn’t technically a health issue in itself, but can trigger some) and some financial stress and let’s just say much of 2015 passed in a blur of gray despite some genuinely good times. The mental fog wasn’t exactly great for my physical fitness or my social life and as you can probably imagine, it interfered with my writing.

Yeah, when I was thinking of bountiful possibilities, I hadn’t figured on depression being one of them. Silly me.

In the last few months, things have turned around. Coincidentally or not, the turnaround started just before Samhain/Halloween, which was the ancient Celtic New Year. My mother is still a frail old woman, but most of the time, I can accept this and be thankful she’s still with us, still in sound mind, and still the same wonderful self-described “stealth freak” she always has been, even if she has to do it in a much more limited arena these days. We still miss Rumble, but Xia the white blur of feline energy and adorable but retiring black and white Tinkerbelle joined the family in October. (Tink’s so shy we want to cheer when she comes out of the basement–but that would scare her so we don’t. Xia, on the other hand, was named after the heroine of Bad Kitty for many reasons: she’s adorable, charming and dangerous, at least to toys and furniture.) I got back to yoga and started playing outside again. The Cat-Herder and I are able to be more playful and joyous together, even though he’s dealing with some major work stress right now. The finances are looking better and so is our attitude about them. And I’ve written more words since December started, even with the holidays and other outside commitments, than I had in the previous six months.

Xia, looking calm for her.

Xia, looking calm for her.

Tinkerbelle engaged in her favorite activity, eating wet food.

2016 is looking good so far. I’m calling it the Year of Joy and Rebuilding and I’ll be talking more about those notions in an upcoming post. For now, Happy New Year. If your 2015 was great, may the awesome streak continue. If it wasn’t, may this new year give you inspiration to start regrouping.

A flash of Christmas Stockings for #MySexySaturday

Posted by Teresa Noelle Roberts. No Comments

Christmas stockings cover 172dpilarge

I’m apparently ending 2015 in the same way I’ve spent most of it: behind on everything and trying frantically to catch up. Consider this post part of my catching up efforts. I released a holiday novella, Christmas Stockings, earlier this month, but I haven’t added it to this site yet! So when the My Sexy Saturday blog hop said this week’s theme was Our Sexy Holidays, I knew I had to “hop” in.

This sexy novella features Jen and Drake from Out of Control getting kinky–after surviving a holiday party from hell. Warning: Academic obtuseness, artistic obsessions, glass-blowing metaphors, a lot of color-coordinated rope, a little pain-play and a pair of incendiary stockings.

Handsome man in tuxedo, wearing glasses. Caption: Drake looked like her idea of the perfect holiday gift, her very own martial artist/movie star/mathemathical genius Dom.

Photo copyright Viorel Sima / courtesy of Bigstock

Seven sexy sentences to give you a taste of the story.

Jen hiked up her skirt and slithered the tiny thong down over her ass. Drake studied her every move. How could the gray of his eyes looked that heated? She’d been trying ever since she met him to figure out that implausible tone shift, but usually the fevered look and even hotter actions that followed it broke her down before she could get very far. Tonight was no exception.

She was bent over, the panties halfway down her thighs, when Drake stalked in behind her. One hand gripped the hair at the back of her neck, tugging her upright.

This Christmas is out of control!
Reconnect with Jen and Drake from Out of Control in this standalone short holiday novella.
Artist Jen’s striped holiday stockings factor in her mathematician husband—and Dominant—Drake’s equation for a delightfully kinky evening. What goes better with striped stockings than a striped ass, after all?
But first they have to survive Jen’s first faculty black-tie holiday party.
Jen, with her wild hair and wilder stockings, doesn’t mind standing out. But she’s not so crazy about standing out as the only person at the party without a college degree. Accomplished artist or not, that’ll raise eyebrows in academia. She doesn’t want to reflect badly on Drake, but she’s also not about to let snobbery go unchallenged.
Who knew going commando except for a garter belt could give a submissive the courage she needs to be herself in an uncomfortable environment—at least with her hot Dominant by her side?
And who knew the rewards for becoming the unlikely toast of the Mathematics Department party would be just what Jen wanted for Christmas?

My Sexy Saturday Blog Hop: A Sexy Galaxy

Posted by Teresa Noelle Roberts. No Comments

cover for the science fiction romance Bad Kitty: sexy cat-girl against a background of stars

This week’s theme at My Sexy Saturday is “A Sexy Galaxy.” With two science-fiction romances under my belt and another in the works, I could hardly resist. Here’s another snippet from Bad Kitty, in which the felinoid heroine Xia finds herself, during a tense pre-combat moment, worrying about her growing feelings for the two males in her life. Fretting that she likes her hot lovers a bit too much beats worrying about dying, right? That’s what a felinoid would say!
She admitted as she stared at Karn’s intent face while he piloted the flyer—sadly it wasn’t a Fiero or one of the other zippy, sporty models, but the boring kind that no one would look at twice—spending nonsexy time with Karn had merits. There was a mystery to Karn the Viking, but it felt like a good mystery, as though his deep secret was he was a nice guy at heart, and Xia wanted to get to the bottom of it.

She shook her head. What kind of space dust was that? Flirting could be a pleasant distraction from the gritty business at hand, but getting to know a guy better had never been her style. Especially not when “getting to know” wasn’t another way of saying “getting naked with”.

Not that she wouldn’t get naked with him again in a Xylac minute. And Xylac minutes were only forty-two Standard seconds.

Stars, what was getting into her these days? First Rahal, now Karn. Two potential repeats, two lovers whom she actually liked and wanted to get to know better. Freaky.

Assassins after her? All in a day’s play.

Practicing vigilante justice on a notoriously lawless planet? Sounds like fun.

Actually valuing her lovers for more than their bodies and their entertainment value? Terrifying. Marling terrifying.

Blurb and more book info:

When you make the Devil’s bargain, be prepared to take the heat. A lot of heat.

Most of Xia’s early memories are repressed, thank the Great Cat Mother. But her body remembers how to kill.

The longer she and her fellow Malcolm crewmates are holed up on Cibari hiding from assassins, the twitchier she gets—until the planet’s insanely sexy Warlord, Rahal Mizyar, borrows her skills to take out slavers.

Rahal suspects Xia is his mate, but the human-raised female never learned the finer points of felinoid rituals. The solution: make her fall hard and fast for him, even if it means playing dirty.

Hired to determine if Xia is the long-missing granddaughter of the felinoid prime minister, Cal Janssen has finally tracked her down. Getting past Rahal, though, is a problem—until he’s mistaken for a notorious arms dealer and playboy. And he finds himself the object of both Rahal’s and Xia’s seduction.

When their first mission brings Xia’s memories bulleting back to the surface, she realizes she’s fallen for two men who don’t exist. Running away, however, could be her deadliest mistake.

Arla Dahl presents THE WATCHMAN (Immoral Virtue, book 3)

Posted by Teresa Noelle Roberts. 2 Comments

Arla Dahl pays a visit today with The Watchman, the culmination of the Immoral Virtue Trilogy. It mnorphs the dark and twisted history of European witch trials into something that’s just as dark and twisted, but a lot sexier and more entertaining to read about. Face it, the Salem witch trials weren’t exactly fun unless you were a sadistic-in-the-pathological-sense psycho with a place in the legal system or the church.  Arla’s version, on the other hand, offers the readers a lot of sexy fun–and erotic rewards for the characters to balance moments where they face their darkest fears.

RELEASE DAY!

The final installment in the Immoral Virtue Trilogy is here at last!

The Watchman (Immoral Virtue, Book 3) Cover

“Totally worth the wait! THE WATCHMAN was so hot and satisfying.
The perfect conclusion to this trilogy.”
— Smart Mouth Smut

The Watchman - Back Cover Blurb

THE WATCHMAN

(Immoral Virtue, #3)

Evil is found when evil is sought

For when those in authority neglect to reprove sin, then very often the good are punished with the wicked.”
– Heinrick Kramer, 1486, The Malleus Maleficarum

For yielding to the proud tears of an accused witch, The Watchman’s soul may have been blackened by evil. To prove himself unmarked, his body free of the witch’s branding, he must stand naked before all and submit to the governor’s thorough and shameful examination.

Though Giles Scott would resist the governor’s practiced and patient touch, only complete abandon might prove his innocence. And since the witch cannot feel, only Giles’ arousal can spare his neck from the noose. And so, he surrenders.

Yet screams from another chamber – perhaps pained, perhaps pleasured – awaken memories from Giles’ dark, torturous past, and the governor’s touch no longer teases but stings… much like the punishing bite of a whip against the flesh of

The Watchman - NEW RELEASE! - Excerpt

“I will take only that which you offer.” He went to her, watched as she skimmed her fingertips from her throat to her breast as he had urged her to do earlier. As he vowed to do himself had he been unbound.

And now, free of the shackles, he took a step closer to her. “What do you offer, Elizabeth?”

“I offer all for you to take.” Her voice was near a whisper, a flutter of air, mesmerizing him near as much as her body bared there before him.

She smoothed her hand lower, a slight brush of her fingertips over her belly, the ripple of her touch pebbling her flesh in tiny bumps of pleasure, pleasure that made his bound cock reach for her. “I would have your hands against me like so,” she said, and with a slowness that pained him, she dipped her hand lower still, to the ruddy thatch he wished to touch and taste. “Your fingers thrust inside of me.” She stroked the tight curls there, tangled her fingers within them. “I offer all of me,” she said, “whatever you wish me to share.”

“Spread yourself for me Elizabeth. Share that part of yourself with me.”

She did not move and he raised his gaze to hers. Saw desire within it, was certain his held the same haze of need. Her breaths grew heavy, her breasts heaving, capturing his attention.

He reached for her, strummed his fingertips over the swell of her breasts, gently brushing his thumbs over her nipples until they stood firm. The hard nubs seeming to swell as he held them, as he lightly pinched them and used them to pull her to him, not letting go even when she stood so close the head of his cock brushed her belly.

“Do it, Elizabeth,” he whispered, pulsing his fingers against her nipples, lightly, firmly, stroking them in time to her breaths. “Spread yourself so I might see more of you.”

With a sigh, she reached between them, between her legs, and spread herself, her body swaying, his fingers tightening on her nipples, holding her in place. Watching her eyes, then lowering his to see how well she spread herself for him.

He stood back so he might see. “Wider,” he said, his voice thick with need.

Male/Male - Do not think, but feel.

She adjusted her stance, her feet further apart, her fingers peeling herself open further, exposing glistening, blush-pink flesh from which he wished to sip. Her graceful inner lips were delicately frilled, like petals on the most succulent flower. Her core, weeping with desire.

He drew closer to her again, brushed his fingertips over her lips then gently parted them and dipped into her mouth. Her tongue, hot, stroked over his fingers, wetted them. And he withdrew, fitted his hand to her waiting core.

Desire barely tamed, he eased two fingers into her, steadily, yet so slowly, they seemed twice as long, sliding yet deeper into her heat. The slickness on his fingers mingling with the slickness of her need. Her body closing around him, the tightness there, gripping him. His mouth grew dry as she moaned softly. Her breaths, small puffs of heat against his cheek.

He withdrew as slowly, taking his time, watching as passion etched her face, furrowed her brows, parted her lips further.

His cock ached now as it seemed to plead for the same pleasures enjoyed by his fingers. And then he pulled them from her completely, held them near her core, felt the heat of her as if to draw them back inside. He brought his hand to her lips again, let her taste herself.

She closed her eyes, took his fingers into her mouth, licked them tenderly, until he could take no more and he withdrew again.

“I wish to taste you myself,” he said, his gaze on her mouth. “Do you offer yourself so, Elizabeth, that I might dine?”

The Watchman - About the Author

Arla Dahl is a lover and avid reader of all things sexy and suspenseful. Her inspiration comes as much from history as from the daily headlines, and she is often surprised by how today’s issues mirror those from the distant past. In her current work, the Immoral Virtue trilogy, which is set during the witch hysteria of the 17th Century, Arla twists an already twisted history into a daring erotic work of passion and pleasure.

A New Yorker, born and bred, Arla is forever fascinated by the varied cultures of her city – and the exotic foods that go along with them, with their rich flavors and provocative scents that tempt and tease and satisfy. Beyond its rich diversity and decadent cusines, the close and heady feel of a moody late-night jazz club is Arla’s favorite part of living in New York.
