Finish-It-Up February
I’ve declared this month Finish-It-Up February, a time to deal with projects that have been lingering for far too long in some cases. I mentioned Out of the Frying Pan, the Sophie Mouette novel that may, at long last, be approaching completion. In this short month, I also hope to:
Make progress on revisions for Shamans’ Sanctuary. It’s probably going to take longer than this month, but I should be able to get a good chunk done.
Get a novella that’s been sitting on my computer for a few years off to Linda at Samhain.
Set up an authorial twitter and a Facebook fan page.
Finish the sweater I started knitting months ago for a friend’s baby. I made a lot of progress on that over the weekend, so I think I may actually finish it when he still fits into it.
Put together the knit tank top I made for myself last summer and see if I got the sizing right. (If not, someone smaller than me may get a really nice gift).
Finish the mittens I’m knitting.
Plan the garden and do my seed order. (That has to get finished, since I start seedlings indoors beginning in early March and start planting outdoors in late March.)
We’ll see how many of these things I actually manage to do–but who’s in for Finish-It-Up February?
I’m not having so much of a Finish-It-Up February as a Starting-Anew-and-Recharged February. As I continue to climb out of the emotional, psychological, and physical hardships of the past two years, I’m excited by the projects facing me.
As I rambled in my own blog today, I’ve got two short stories due this month, two copyediting jobs due before I leave for two workshops at the end of the month, and a plethora of publishing projects. I’m also back to working out and continue to eat healthy. I suppose the only thing on the “finish” list is a permanent filling to replace the temp one over the root canal I just had!
